The marble fountain:
Water is an essential part of the organisation of this village.
In effect, Grust is installed on a brow going from South to West along a slope and it also benefits from the spring water, which gushes and surges out on the high part of the village.
Underground it serves a rosary of wash-houses and farms, it passes under the church and surges out in this beautiful marble fountain in the centre of this small square ideal for resting and dreaming.
To discover: the Grust church
The church was built in 1731 and dedicated to Saint Martin.
It is situated at the foot of the village and occupies a symbolic situation:
it marks the relationship of the village with the valley.
On the tympanum of the porch (see picture below) look at the chrism representative of the chrisms of the valley: the "P" means "Beginning", the S: "end". On the each side we can find he Greeks letters A ( alpha) and Omega, that is the word of Christ:"I am the beggining and the End".
