Located at the West slope of the valley of the Toy Country, after the Village of Saligos, close to Holy Luz Saint Sauveur village, this small village of fourty inhabitants kept his vain character of the villages of formerly.
February 10, 1601, the village of Chèze was buried under an avalanche.
Hundred seven people are killed and only, some people taken refuge in the church, left there alive.

The Saint-Barthélemy church
Devasted by a fatal avalanche in 1600, the church and the village were rebuilt.
