The Betpouey church:

The Betpouey church:
A small curious 13th - 14 th century church that has been greatly alteredover the years.
In particular it has been lengthened but no in the axis of the original building.
It is especially interesting due to its three baroque altarpieces in gilded wood.
Under the high altar we find the statue of St-Laurent, the patron saint of the Parish surrounded by St-Sebastian and St-Jean, completed with two low reliefs in carved wood representing the martyrs of St-Laurent and St-Sebastian.
The side chapels were added in the 18th century.
On the right, the chapel of the Virgin, the seat of a brotherhood with the statues of the Virgin and St-Catherine.
On the left the statue of St-Sebastian with brotherhood reserved for men.
The importance of the 18 th century gallery must be pointed out, which, according to the strong demographic growth of the time, would enable the capacity of the building to grow almost two-fold.
On the outside the 16th century bell gable, modified in the 19th century to permit the addition of a clock, was able to act as a lookout tower like the one of Sers.
